Surah “Mary”

as rendered by Zulfiquar Ali Bhotto — 98 verses

Kaf [Unmentionable], Ha [Transparent], Ya [Non-referred prophets], Ayn [Compressed], Sad [Abrogated nations].
[Briefly] mentioning the mercy of your Lord to His servant Zechariah
When he called his Lord in a private supplication.
He said, "My Lord, indeed the bones for me have become feeble, and my head lit up with gray hair, and I was not in Your calling [to old age, Qur'an 16:70, Qur'an 22:5], my Lord, unhappy.
But indeed, I fear the colleagues after me, and my woman has been barren [Qur'an 2:240], so give me from You an welcoming heir
Who will inherit me and inherit from the family of Jacob. And make him, my Lord, content [with the inheritance]."
[He was told], "O Zechariah, indeed We give you good tidings of a boy whose name will be Yahya, a name We have previously assigned thereto none."
He said, "My Lord, how can be for me a boy while my wife was barren and I have already reached out of the old age, extremity?"
[An angel] said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord said, `It is easy on Me, and certainly I created you before, while you were nothing.'"
Said, "My Lord, make for me a sign." He said, "Your sign is that you will not [be able] speak to the people for three nights, being sound [Qur'an 3:41 as a punishment, for doubting]."
So he oozes upon his people from the prayer chamber and signaled to them that you should glorify [Allah] in morning and afternoon.
[Allah said], "O Yahya, take the Book by force." And We gave him authority [despite] a lad,
While impulsive from Our welcome with righteous impulses. And he was fearing [Allah]
And dutiful to his parents, and he was not a disobedient tyrant.
And peace be upon him on a day he was born, and on a day he dies, and on a day he is raised to life again.
And mention, [O Muhammad], in the Book of Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place toward the east,
And secluded herself from them [contemplating self-harm for pre-male depression]. We then sent to her Our Spirit [angel Gabriel], who appeared to her in the perfect shape of a human being.
She said, "Indeed, I seek refuge in the Most Merciful from you, if you are God-fearing."
He said, "I am only a messenger from your Lord to bestow for your [post-male's behalf] a righteous son.”
She said, "How can I have a son while no man has touched me nor have I been ever unchaste?"
He said, "Thus [it will be]; your Lord says, `It is easy for Me, and We will make him a sign to the people and a mercy from Us. And it is a matter [already] decreed.'"
So she bared with it [the process of becoming a male, Qur'an 19:19-21], and eventually in it she got back her end position [withdrew from male orientation over time to her female orientation].
So the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said, "Oh, I wish I had died before this when becoming a thing [alternating orientation of Eve] forgotten, utterly forgotten."
So [an ant, Qur'an 27:18] called [regarding, Qur'an 19:23] from below her [kind], "You should not grieve; your Lord has set up beneath you a stream.
And you should shake toward you by the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates.
So you should eat and drink and cool your eyes. And if you see anyone from the humankind you should say, `Indeed, I have vowed to the Most Merciful a fasting, so I will not talk to a human today'."
So she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, "O Mary, you have brought a libel thing.
O sister of Aaron, your father was not a wicked man, nor was your mother a loose woman."
So she pointed to him. They said, "How can we speak to an infant who has been in the cradle?"
[Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am a slave of Allah. He has given me the Book and made me a prophet.
And He has made me blessed wherever I might be and has commanded me about the prayer and zakah as long as I live.
And being very kind about my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant.
And peace be on me a day I was born, and on a day I will die, and on a day I will be raised to life again, [continued in Qur'an 19:36]
Such was Jesus, the son of Mary - as per the statement of the ground truth concerning which they confuse themselves.
It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decreed a matter, then He only says for it, "Be," and it is.
[continued- Qur'an 19:33] And indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path."
Later [Qur'an 61:6] differed the sects from [keeping you, O Muhammad] between them, so woe to those who disbelieved - from the scene of a tremendous Day.
[O Muhammad] listen by them and see a Day they come to Us, but the oppressors today are in obvious stray.
But keep warning them, [O Muhammad], of the Day of Regret, when the matter would be exposed while they would be in heedlessness [all kind secular states], and they [Jews and Christian] would be believing nothing.
Indeed, it is We -- We alone -- inherit the earth and whoever is on it, and to Us they will be returned.
And mention [the inheritance] in the Book of Abraham. Indeed, he was a man of truth, a prophet.
[Mention] when he said to his father, "O my father, why do you worship that which does not hear and does not see and will have on you no usage?
O my father, indeed there has come to me from the knowledge that which has not come to you. So follow me; I will guide you on a smooth path.
O my father, do not worship Satan. Indeed Satan has always been disobedient to the Most Merciful.
O my father, indeed I fear that a punishment from the Most Merciful will touch you for you becoming to Satan a friend."
[His father] said, "Why do you bother on my gods, O Abraham? If you do not desist, I will surely stone you, so leave me alone for a long long time."
[Abraham] said, "Peace be upon you. I will ask forgiveness for you of my Lord. Indeed He has always been gracious with me.
And I will leave you all [failed cases] and those you [pagans] invoke other than Allah. And I will invoke my Lord perhaps I am not with my Lord's calling, unhappy."
So when he had left them and what they worshipped other than Allah, We give to him Isaac and Jacob, and each [of them] We made a prophet.
And We granted for them of Our mercy, and we made for them a superior truthful tongue.
And mention [the inheritance] in the Book of Moses. Indeed, he was sincere, and he was a messenger, a prophet.
And We called him from a side of Al-Tur [the mount], the right and We welcomed him for conversation.
And We grant for him of Our mercy his brother Aaron as a prophet.
And mention [the inheritance] in the Book of Ishmael. Indeed, he became true to the promise, and he was a messenger, a prophet.
And he was commanding on his family with prayer and zakah and he was with his Lord, content.
And mention [the heritage] in the Book of Idrees. Indeed, he was sincere and a prophet.
And We raised him to a high status.
Those were the ones over whom Allah bestowed favour upon them from the prophets of Adam's descendants and of whomever We carried [in the ship] with Noah, and of Abraham's descendants and Israel, and of whoever We guided and selected. When the verses of the Most Merciful were recited to them, they fell down prostrating and weeping.
Later therein succeeded them as successors those who neglected prayer and followed desires; so as for that, they meet the Ghayyi [pit of Hell] -
Except those who repented, believed and worked righteous; So those will be entering the Paradise and they will not be wronged in anything.
The Eden Paradise which the Most Merciful has promised to His slaves, in the unseen. Indeed, His promise is ever bringing fulfillment.
They will not hear therein any ill speech - except peace - and for them therein will be their provision, morning and afternoon.
That is Paradise, which We confer to those of Our slaves who were righteous.
[Gabriel explained], "And we [angels] descend not except by the command of your Lord. To Him belongs what is between our hands [intact memory] and what is behind us [forgotten memory] and what is between that [distorted memory]. And your Lord is not forgetful."
Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them - so worship Him and have patience for His worship. Do you know any in names [attributes] similar to His?
And the human says, "Even though what - I am dead - then surely I will be brought forth alive!"
Does the human not remember that We created him before, while he was nothing?
So [in response to Qur'an 19:66, O Muhammad] by your Lord, surely We will be gathering them all with the devils; then most certainly We will bring them to be present around Hell on their knees.
Then We will surely drag out from every sect those of them who were most obstinate against the Most Merciful in defiance [Qur'an 19:66].
Then surely, We are best in knowledge about those who would be most deserving of burning therein.
And left is none from you ones [in Qur'an 19:66] except he comes to this [Qur'an 19:68]. This is upon your Lord an inevitability decreed.
Then We will guard against [Qur'an 19:68] those who guarded against [Qur'an 19:66] and leave through the oppressors [Qur'an 19:69], their knees.
And when Our verses are recited as proofs upon them, those who [still] disbelieved say to those who believed, "Which of two parties is better in position and goodlier in company?"
And how many a generation have We destroyed before them who were better in possessions and outward show?
Say, "Whoever was in the astray, so the Most Merciful will surely extend for him an extension." Until, when they saw what they were promised - either the punishment or the Hour. Then they will know who it is, the worst in position and weaker in soldiers."
And Allah increases those who were guided, in guidance, and the everlasting good deeds are better with your Lord as reward and best in return.
Then, have you seen he who disbelieved in Our verses and said, "I will surely be given wealth and children [in hereafter]?"
Has he looked into the unseen, or has he received from the Most Merciful a pledge?
No such is there [Qur'an 17:77]! We will record what he says and extend for him from the punishment extensively,
And will inherit him what he mentions, and he will come to Us alone.
And they have taken other deities than Allah that those gods would be for them, a [stimulation of] power.
No such is there! They will be disbelieving in their worship of them and will be against them, as enemies.
Have you not seen [O Muhammad] that We have sent the devils upon the infidels, inciting them in [evil] incitement?
So do not be haste against them. We are only counting out for them a [limited] number [of days].
On a Day We will gather all the righteous to the Most Merciful as a delegation.
And will drive the criminals to Hell as a thirsty herd.
None [of the delegation Qur'an 19:85] will own the intercession except whoever had taken from the Most Merciful a pledge.
And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken a son."
You have indeed come with an atrocious thing.
The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits asunder and the mountains collapse in devastation
That they attribute to the Most Merciful a son.
And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son.
Left is nothing from all things whosoever is in the heavens and the earth except it will be coming to the Most Merciful as a slave.
He has already enumerated them and counted them a [full] counting.
And all of them will be coming to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone.
Indeed, those who have believed and worked righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will grant for them affection.
So [O Muhammad], We have only made Qur'an easy in the Arabic language that you may give good tidings thereby to the righteous and warn thereby a hostile people.
And how many a generation We destroyed before their time? Can you perceive anyone of them now or hear for them a sound?
