54:1  The Hour (Es'Saa'ätu) has approached (Eq'tarabati), and (Wa) the moon (El'Qamar)* has split (Enshaqqa),

54:2  but (Wa) whenever (In) they see (Yaraw') a sign (miracle) (Aayatan), they turn away (Yu'ridu') and say (Yaquulu'), "Continuous (Mus'tamirr) sorcery (Sih'run)."

54:3  And (Wa) they denied (Kazzabu') and followed (Ettabauu') their inclinations (Ah'waa'a-hum’) while (Wa) every (Kullu) matter (Am'rin) has been settled (Mus'taqirr). (44:4-5)

54:4  And (Wa) there has certainly (Laqad') come to them (Jaa'a-hum) some of (Mina) the news (El'Anbaai) of that which (Maa) was rebuked (Muz'dajar) therein (Fiihi);

54:5  extensive (Baaligatun) Wisdom (Hik'matu); but (Fa) the warnings (En'Nuzur) do not (Maa) avail (Tug'ni).

54:6  So (Fa) turn away (Tawalla) from them (Än'hum’). The day (Yaw'ma) the Caller (20:108) (Ed'Daae) will call (Yad'u) to (ilaa) something (Shai'in) condemnable (Nukur),

54:7  their eyesight (Ab'soaru-hum) will humble (Khussha’än) as they emerge (Yakh'rujuuna) from (Mina) the tombs (El'Ah'daathi) as if they (Ka'anna-hum) were scattered (Muntashir) locusts (Jaraadun)

54:8  craning their necks (Muh'tieena) towards (ilaa) the Caller (Ed'Daae). The disbelievers (El'Kaafiruuna) will say (Yaquulu), "This (Haaza) is a difficult (Äsir) day (Yaw'mun)."

54:9  The people (Qaw'mu) of Noah (Nuuhin) denied (Kazzabat') before them (Qab'lahum’), and (Fa) they denied (Kazzabu') Our servant (Äb'da-naa) and (Wa) said (Qaalu'), "Madman (Maj'nuunun)," and (Wa) he was rebuked (Ez'dujir).

54:10  Then (Fa) he (Noah) invoked (Da'ää) his LORD (Rabba-hu), "Indeed, I have been (Annii) overpowered so (Fa) help (En'tasir)

54:11  Then (Fa) We opened (Fatah'naa) the gates (Ab'waaba) of the heaven (Es'Samaai) with (Bi) water (Maain) pouring down (Mun'hamir),

54:12  and (Wa) We gushed out (Fajjar'naa) springs (Uyuunan) of the earth (El'Ar'do). And (Fa) the waters (El'Maau) met (El’taqaa) with (Älaa) a command (Am'rin) already (Qad') destined (Qudir).

54:13  And (Wa) We carried him (Hamal'naa-hu) above (Älaa) with (Zaati) slates (Al'waahin) and dowels (Dusur),

54:14  sailing (Taj'rii) before (Bi) Our eyes (A'yuni-naa) as a reward (Jazaa'an) for one who (Liman) was (Kaana) denied (Kufir).

54:15  And (Wa) We certainly (Laqad) left it (Tarak'naa-haa) as a sign (miracle) (Aayatan), so (Fa) is (Hal') there any (Min) remembrance (Muddakir)?

54:16  So (Fa) how (Kai'fa) was (Kaana) MY punishment (Äzaabii) and (Wa) warnings (Nuzur)? 1

54:17  And (Wa) We have certainly (Laqad’) made the Koran (El'Qur'aana) easy (-Yassar'naa) for remembrance (Liz’ Zik'ri), so (Fa) is (Hal') there any (Min) remembrance (Muddakir)? 1

54:18  Ad (7:65) (Äädun) denied (Kazzabat’); but (Fa) how (Kai'fa) was (Kaana) MY punishment (Äzaabii) and (Wa) warnings (Nuzur)?

54:19  Indeed (Innaa), We sent (Ar'sal'naa) a squeaking (Sor'soran) wind (Riihan) against them (Älai'him) in a period (Yaw'mi) of continuous (Mus'tamir) misfortune (Nah'sin),

54:20  eliminating (Tanziu) the people (En'Naasa) as if they (Ka'anna-hum) were inefficient (A'jaazu) date palms (Nakh'lin) being excavated (Munqaer).

54:21  So (Fa) how (Kai’fa) was (Kaana) MY punishment (Äzaabii) and (Wa) warnings (Nuzur)? 2

54:22  And (Wa) We have certainly (Laqad') made the Koran (El'Qur'aana) easy (-Yassar'naa) for remembrance (Liz’ Zik'ri), so (Fa) is (Hal') there any (Min) remembrance (Muddakir)? 2

54:23  Thamud (27:45) (Thamuudu) denied (Kazzabat' Bi) the warnings (En'Nuzur),

54:24  and (Fa) they said (Qaaluu'), "Is it (A-) one (Waahidan) man (-Basharan) among us (Minnaa) whom we should follow (Nattabiu-hu)? Indeed, we (Innaa) would then (Izan) be in (Lafii) error (Dolaalin) and (Wa) madness (Su-ur).

54:25  "Has (A’) the Remembrance (Ez'Zik'ru) been offered to him (Ul'qiya Älai'hi) instead of us (Min Bai'ni-naa)? In fact (Bal'), he (Huwa) is a bad (Ashir) liar (Kazzaabun)."

54:26  They will find out (Sa Ya'lamuuna) tomorrow (Gadan) who (Mani) is the bad (El'Ashir) liar (El'Kazzaabu).

54:27  Indeed, We (Innaa) are sending (Mur'silu') a she-camel (En'Naaqati) as trial (Fitnatan) for them (Lahum'), so (Fa) watch them (Er'taqib'hum) and (Wa) be patient (Es'tabir),

54:28  and (Wa) inform them (Nabbi'hum’) that (Anna) the water (El'Maa'a) shall be apportioned (Qis'matu) between them (Bai'nahum’), each (Kullu) would drink (Shir'bin) in attendance (Muh'tador).

54:29  So (Fa) they (p) called (Naadaw') their friend (Soahiba-hum’), and (Fa) he captured (Ta'äätoa) and (Fa) slaughtered it (Äqar).

54:30  So (Fa) how (Kai’fa) was (Kaana) MY punishment (Äzaabii) and (Wa) warnings (Nuzur)? 3

54:31  Indeed (Innaa), We sent (Ar'sal'naa) one (Waahidatan) blow (Soi'hatan) on them (Älai'him), and (Fa) they became (Kaanu') like (Ka) penned up (El'Muh'tazir) straw (Hashiimi).

54:32  And (Wa) We have certainly (Laqad') made the Koran (El'Qur'aana) easy (-Yassar'naa) for remembrance (Liz’ Zik'ri), so (Fa) is (Hal') there any (Min) remembrance (Muddakir)? 3

54:33  The people (Qaw'mu) of Lot (53:53) (Luuti) denied (Kazzabat' Bi) the warnings (En'Nuzur).

54:34  Indeed (Innaa), We sent (Ar'sal'naa) a storm (Haasiban) against them (Älai'him), except (illaa) the family (Aala) of Lot (Luutin); We rescued them (Najjai'naa-hum) at (Bi) dawn (Sahar),

54:35  as blessing (Ni'matan) from Us (Min Endi-naa). Thus (Kazaalika) do We reward (Naj'zii) whoever (Man) is thankful (Shakar).

54:36  And (Wa) We certainly (Laqad') warned them (Anzara-hum) of Our strike (attack) (Bat'shata-naa), but (Fa) they disputed (Tamaaraw') with (Bi) the warnings (Nuzur).

54:37  And (Wa) certainly (Laqad') they enticed him (Lot) (Raawaduu-hu) concerning (Än) his guests (Doi'fi-hi), so (Fa) We obliterated (Tomas'naa) their eyes (A'yuna-hum’); “so (Fa) taste (Zuuqu') MY punishment (Äzaabii) and warnings (Nuzur).”

54:38  And (Wa) certainly (Laqad') a settling (Mus'taqirr) punishment (Äzaabun) greeted them (Sobbaha-hum) early in the morning (Buk'ratan).

54:39  “So (Fa) taste (Zuuqu') MY punishment (Äzaabii) and (Wa) warnings (Nuzur).”

54:40  And (Wa) We have certainly (Laqad') made the Koran (El'Qur'aana) easy (-Yassar'naa) for remembrance (Liz’ Zik'ri), so (Fa) is (Hal') there any (Min) remembrance (Muddakir)? 4

54:41  And (Wa) certainly (Laqad') the warnings (En'Nuzur) came (Jaa'a) to the people (Aala) of Pharaoh (Fir'äw'na),

54:42  they denied (Kazzabu' Bi) all of (Kullihaa) Our signs (Aayaati-naa), so (Fa) We seized them (Akhaz'naa-hum') with a mighty (Äziizin) and powerful (Muq'tadir) seizure (Akh'za).

54:43  Are (A-) your disbelievers (p) (-Kuffaaru-kum') better (Khai'run) than (Min') those (U'laaikum'), or (Am') do you have (Lakum) a permit (9:1) (Baraa'atun) in (Fii) the scriptures (Ez'Zubur)?

54:44  Or (Am') are they saying (Yaquuluuna), "We (Nah'nu) will all (Jamii'un) be defended (Muntasir)?"

54:45  The assembly (theirs) (El'Jam'u) will be defeated (Sa Yuh'zamu) and (Wa) they will turn (Yuwalluuna) their backs (Ed'Dubur).

54:46  In fact (Bali), the Hour (Es'Saa'ätu) is their appointment (Maw'edu-hum'), and (Wa) the Hour (Es'Saa'ätu) is craftier (Ad'haa) and more bitter (Amarr).

54:47  Indeed (Inna), the criminals (El'Muj'rimiina) are in (Fii) error (Dolaalin) and (Wa) madness (Su'ur).

54:48  It is the day (Yaw'ma) they will be dragged into (Yus'buuna Fii) the Fire (En'Naari) on (Älaa) their faces (Wujuuhi-him'), "Taste (Zuuqu') the touch (Massa) of Hell (Saqar).

54:49  Indeed (Innaa), We created (Khalaq'naahu) all (Kulla) things (Shai'in) by (Bi) destiny (Qadar),

54:50  and (Wa) Our command (Am'ru-naa) is only (Maa illa) at once (Waahidatun) as (Ka) the glance (Lam'hi) of (Bi) the eyesight (El'Basor).

54:51  And (Wa) We have certainly (Laqad') annihilated (Ah'lak'naa) your partisans (the predecessors) (Ash'yaa'ä-kum’), so (Fa) is (Hal') there any (Min) remembrance (Muddakir)?

54:52  And (Wa) everything (Kullu Shai'in) they did (Faäluu-hu) is in (Fii) the scriptures (16:44) (Ez'Zubur),

54:53  and (Wa) everything (Kullu) small (Sogiirin) and big (Kabiirin) was jotted down (Mus'tator).

54:54  Indeed (Inna), the pious (El'Muttaqiina) will be in (Fii) gardens (Jannaatin) with (Wa) rivers (Nahar),

54:55  in (Fii) a seat (Maq'ädi) of integrity (Sid'qin) in front of (Enda) a competent (Muq'tadir) Governance (Maliikin).(SRV - 54:16, 54:21, 54:30 / SRV - 54:17, 54:22, 54:32, 54:40)
