I swear by the Day of Resurrection!
And I swear by the self that is constantly blaming!
Does the human being think that We will not reassemble his bones?
Yes indeed! We are Capable of restoring even his fingertips.
Yet the human being wishes to sin for the time left ahead of him.
He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?"
Then, when the sight is dazzled,
and the moon is eclipsed,
and the sun and the moon are joined;
on that Day, the human being will say, "Where is the escape?"
No indeed! There is no refuge.
To your Lord, on that Day, is the place of settlement.
The human being will be informed on that Day of what he did to his credit and what he did to his debit.
In fact, the human being is an eye-witness against himself
in spite of any excuses he may offer.
Do not move your tongue with it to hasten it.
Indeed, upon Us is its collection and its recitation.
Then, when We recite it, follow its recitation.
Then upon Us is its clarification.
But no! In fact, you love the fleeting life
and you disregard the Hereafter!
Some faces on that Day will be radiant,
looking at their Lord.
And some faces on that Day will be miserable,
realising that something backbreaking will be done to them.
No indeed! When it reaches the collarbone,
and it is said, "Who can save him?"
And he realises that it is the time of parting,
and one leg will be twisted around the other leg.
To your Lord, on that Day, he will be driven.
For he neither believed nor prayed,
but rather, he denied and turned away.
Then he went to his family, swaggering!
You deserved this. Indeed, you have deserved it.
And once again, you deserved this. Yes, you have deserved it.
Does the human being think that he will be left to go unchecked?
Was he not a tiny drop of ejaculated semen,
then he became an aalaqah, which He created and fashioned,
then He ordained from it the two sexes, the male and the female?
Is such One not Capable of bringing the dead to life?
