Allah has already heard the saying of her who is arguing with you, [O Muhammad], concerning her husband and complains to Allah. And Allah hears your mutual discourse; indeed, Allah is Hearer, Seer.
Those who pronounce Zihar from you [to make mothers] from their wives, they would not be their mothers. Left is none to be their mothers except those who gave birth to them. And indeed, they are saying an evil from the saying and a lie. And indeed, Allah is Pardoning, Forgiving.
And those who pronounce Zihar [to make mothers] from their wives, then retract concerning what they said, so [they must] free a neck [slave] before that they both touch each other. That is what you are admonished with it; and Allah is Aware about whatever you work.
But whoever does not find [a slave], then a fast for two consecutive months before that they both touch each other. So whoever is unable, then feeding of sixty poor persons. That is that you may believe in Allah and His Messenger. And those are the limits of Allah. And for the infidels is a painful punishment.
Indeed, those who oppose Allah and His Messenger will be humiliated as were humiliated those before them. And We have already sent down proof verses. And for the infidels is a humiliating punishment.
On a Day when Allah will raise them altogether and inform them about what they worked. Allah had enumerated it, and they forgot it; and Allah is, over every thing, a Witness.
Have you [O reader] not considered that Allah knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth? There is in no secret counsel of three except that He is the fourth of them, nor of five except that He is the sixth of them, nor of less than that nor of more except that He is with them wherever they are; then He will inform them about what they worked, on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed Allah is of All-knowing about everything.
Have you [O prophet] not considered those who were prohibited from the secret counsels, then they return to what they were prohibited from and they hold secret counsels about the sin and the aggression and disobedience to the Messenger? And when they come to you, they greet you by what Allah does not greet you by. And they say in themselves, "Why does Allah not punish us by what we say?" Sufficient for them is Hell, they shall burn in its flame, so wretched is the destination.
O you who believed, when you held secret counsel, then do not hold secret counsel about sin and aggression and disobedience to the Messenger but hold secret counsel about the righteousness and the piety. And fear Allah, the one who to Him, you will be gathered.
The secret counsel is only from the Satan that he may grieve those who have believed, but he can harm them in nothing except by the permission of Allah. And upon Allah then let the believers rely.
O you who believed, if it is said to you, "Make room" in the assemblies, then make room; Allah will make room for you. And if it is said, "Leave," then leave. Allah will elevate those who have believed from you and those who were given the knowledge, in degrees. And Allah is All-aware about what you are working on.
O you who believed, if you [wish to] secretly consult the Messenger, then offer between the two hands of your consultation, a donation. That is better for you and purer. But if you do not find [the means], for indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Are you apprehensive to present between the two hands of your secret consulting, donations? So if you did not do, and Allah has relented upon you, so establish the prayer and give the zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah is All-aware about what you are working on.
Have you [O Muhammad] not considered those who allied a people whom Allah has wrath upon them? They are neither from you nor from them, and they swear on the lie while they know.
Allah has prepared for them a severe punishment. Indeed, it was evil what they were working.
They took their oaths as a cover, so they averted [others] from the way of Allah. So for them is a humiliating punishment.
Not will avail them on, their wealth, nor their children, from Allah a thing. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein for ever.
On a Day Allah will raise them altogether, so they will swear to Him as they swear to you [Muslims]. And they will think that they are upon a thing. Unquestionably, it is they, they are the liars.
Satan has prevailed upon them, so he caused them to forget the remembrance of Allah. Those are the party of Satan. Unquestionably, the party of Satan, they are the losers.
Indeed, those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, those are in the most humiliated.
Allah has written, "I will surely prevail, I and My messengers." Indeed, Allah is Strong, Mighty.
You will not find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day loving those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred. Those, He has written in their hearts the faith and supported them with Spirit from Him. And He will admit them in paradises beneath which are flowing rivers, they abide in it for ever. Allah will approve of them, and they get approved from Him, those are the party of Allah. Unquestionably, the party of Allah, they are the successful.
