Exalted is He who journeyed His slave by night from al-Masjid al-haram to al-Masjid al- Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs [Qur'an 17:76-77]. Indeed, He, Only He is the Hearer, the Seer.
And We gave Moses the Book and made it a guidance for the Children of Israel [saying], "Do not take other than Me a protector",
O descendants of whoever We carried [in the ship] with Noah. Indeed, he was a thankful slave.
And We conveyed to the Children of Israel in the Book that, "You will surely cause corruption in the earth twice [Qur'an 2:79 and Qur'an 14:28], and you will surely reach [a degree of] great haughtiness.
So when the [time of] promise came for the first of the two [Qur'an 2:79], We sent against you slaves of Ours [Qur'an 17:3] - those of great military might, and they probed [in 586 BCE even] into the homes, and it was a promise fulfilled.
Then We gave back to you the return victory over them. And We reinforced you with wealth and sons and made you more numerous in manpower [relatively speaking
in response to the divine principle, however small it may be], "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, [you do it] to yourselves." Then when the final promise [Qur'an 14:28] came, [Greeko-Roman white supremacist in 70 CE came in] to sadden your faces and to enter the temple in Jerusalem, as they entered it the first time [as colonials in 63 BCE], and to destroy what they had taken over with [total] destruction.
Perhaps [you would learn the lesson and undo your misdeed in Qur'an 2:79 and Qur'an 14:28], that your Lord will have mercy upon you. And if you return [to Islam thereby], We will return [to mercy thereby]. And [otherwise] We have made Hell, for the infidels, a prison-bed."
Indeed this, the Qur'an guides for that [undoing- Qur'an 17:8], it is an establishing [canonizing book] and it gives good tidings to the believers who works righteous deeds that for them is a great reward.
And that those who do not believe in the Hereafter - We have prepared for them a painful punishment.
And the human invites in the evil; he begs in the good, and the human was ever hotheaded.
And We have made the night and the day two signs, and We erased the sign of the night and made the sign of the day manifest that you may seek bounty from your Lord and may know the number of years and the account [of time]. And everything We have explained it in clear explanation.
And [for] every person We have prescribed him - his scroll in his neck, and We will bring out for him on the Day of Resurrection a book which he will find wide open.
[It will be said], "Read your book. Sufficient is yourself against you today as accountant."
Whoever has taken guidance then he will be guiding only for his soul. And whoever has strayed he will be straying against his soul. And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And We were not punishing until We are sending a messenger.
And when We intend to destroy a town, We command its affluent [to obey] but they defiantly disobey through. Then the word becomes true upon the city, and We destroy it with [complete] destruction.
And [imagine] how many of the generations We have destroyed after Noah. And sufficient is your Lord [O Muhammad] as All Aware and All-Seeing about His slave's sins.
Whoever should desire the fast [life] - We hasten for him through what We will to whom We intend. Then We have made for him Hell, He will be burning as disgraced and rejected.
Ans whoever desires the Hereafter and strives for it its striving while he is a believer - it is those their striving is ever appreciated [by Allah].
We provide - [to each of] these and those - from the gift of your Lord. And the gift of your Lord was not confined.
See [O man] how We have favored some of them over others. But the Hereafter is greater in degrees and greater in excellence.
Do not set up [O man] another God with Allah. So you sit disgraced, forsaken.
And your Lord has decreed [O men], "Do not worship except Him Alone, and do good about the parents. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, so do not say to both of them [so much as], "uff," and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.
And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, "My Lord, have mercy on both of them like [the mercy] they raised me with as a child."
Your Lord is best knowing about what is in your own-selves. If you [believers] should be righteous - then indeed He is ever, to the often returning [to Him], Forgiving.
And give your relative his right [O man], and [also] the destitute and the traveler in need, and do not spend wastefully.
Indeed the spendthrifts were to be brothers of the devils, and Satan to his Lord was an infidel.
And if you [O man] have to turn away from the needy awaiting mercy from your Lord which you also expect [by supporting them], then speak to them a gentle word.
And do not make your hand [as] chained to your neck or extend that to each of the extension so you sit blamed, regretful.
Indeed, your Lord extends livelihood for whom He wills and [also] fixes. Indeed He is Ever about His slaves all Aware, Seer.
And do not kill your children fearing poverty. We provide for them and for you. Indeed their killing has always been a grave sin.
And do not approach adultery. Indeed it has always been an obscenity, an evil way.
And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, except by [sharia] court. And whoever is killed in tyranny - We have given his heir authority. So let him not transgress concerning the killing considering that he was winner.
And do not approach the property of an orphan, except with what it is best [for the orphan], until he reaches his maturity. And honour through the covenant. Indeed, the covenant would be questioned about.
And give full measure when you measure, and weigh with the straight balance. That is goodness and best in outcome.
And do not follow what you [O man] have no knowledge therein. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - each of those would be questioned on that.
And do not walk [O man] upon the earth proudly. Indeed, you will never tear the earth [apart], and you will never reach the mountains in height.
That evil [Qur'an 17:37] was all out hateful with your Lord.
That is [Qur'an 17:22] for what your Lord has revealed to you, [O Muhammad], from the wisdom. And, [O mankind], do not set up with Allah another God, so you will be thrown in Hell, blamed, banished.
So has your Lord distinguished you by the sons and taken from the angels, females? Indeed, you [pagans] say an outrageous saying.
And We have certainly resolved [human history, theology] in this the Qur'an in hopes that they [intellectuals] may take heed, but it does not increase them except in revulsion.
Say [O Muhammad], "If there were with Him other gods, as they say, then they [each] would have sought a way to [oust] the Possessor of the Throne."
Glorified is He and High is He above what they are saying, by great height.
The seven heavens and the earth and whatever is in them exalt Him. And left is nothing from thing except it exalts [Allah] by His praise, but you [people] do not understand their exalting. Indeed, He is ever Lenient, Forgiving.
And when you recite the Qur'an [O Muhammad], We set up between you and between those who do not believe in the Hereafter, a hidden [bi-directional] barrier.
And We have placed coverings [drop out layer] upon their hearts, lest they understand the Qur'an, and heaviness [weights] in their ears. And when you mention your Lord alone in the Qur'an, they turn on their back in a repulsion.
We are most knowing about what they listen in it, when they listen to you, and when they are in private conversation, when the oppressors say, "Left is none you may follow except a man bewitched."
Look how they strike for you the comparisons. So they have strayed, so they cannot find a way.
And they say, "After we had become bones and crumbled particles, will we surely be resurrected as a new creation?"
Say, "Be you stones or iron
Or a creation of what is great in your breasts." And they will say, "Who will restore us?" Say, "He who brought you forth the first time." Then they will nod their heads toward you [O Muhammad] and say, "When will that be?" Say, "Perhaps it will be quite soon -
On a Day He will be calling you [O Men] and you will be responding with His praise and think if you had remained except a little."
And say to My slaves to say that which is best. Indeed, Satan oozes [himself] between them. Indeed Satan is ever, to mankind, an obvious enemy.
Your Lord is most knowing about you [O Men]. If He wills, He will have mercy upon you; or if He wills, He will punish you. And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], upon them to be a protector.
And your Lord is most knowing about whoever is in the heavens and the earth. And We have made some of the prophets exceed others, and to David We gave Zaboor [Psalms].
Say, "Invoke those you have claimed [as gods] other than Him, for they do not have the power of undoing the misfortune from you or transferring it."
Those whom they call are seeking to their Lord, means of access, which of them would be welcomed, and they hope for His mercy and fear His punishment. Indeed, the punishment of your Lord is ever feared.
And left would be none of a town except We will destroy it before the Day of Resurrection or punish it with a severe punishment. That was written in the book in lines.
And what has prevented Us sending in the signs except that the former peoples denied them? And We gave Thamud the she-camel as a visible sign, but they wronged with her. And We send not the signs except as a warning.
And [remember, O Muhammad], when We told you, "Indeed, your Lord has enclosed the people [with a cyclic pattern of history]." And We did not make the vision [Al-Isra, your night journey] which We showed you [before] except to be a test [homework] for the people [to uncover its prior cycle in history] in connection with the tree [Eve-Adam were forbidden], the accursed [Ibless] mentioned in the Qur'an. And We threaten the people [to uncover the night journey of Eve-Adam from Al-Isra of Prophet Muhammad (saw)], but it [the lesson emanating from: Eve-Adam were created on earth- Qur'an 23:79, living on earth then Allah took them to heaven like Prophet Muhammad only to send them back: clothed on their well known returning day--Qur'an 15:38, Qur'an 38:81; or naked prior to that day after setting up their status Qur'an 17:61] increases them not except in great transgression.
And [mention] when We said to the angles, "Prostrate to Adam," so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He said, "Should I prostrate to one whom You created from clay?"
[Iblees] said, "Do You see this one whom You have honoured over me? If You delay me till the Day of Resurrection, I will most certainly degrade his descendants, except for a few."
[Allah] said, "Go, and whoever from them follows you, then indeed Hell is your [this saved and accumulated] penalty - a compounded penalty.
And entice whoever you can from them with your voice and assault against them with your horses and foot soldiers and share them concerning the wealth and the children and promise them. And [they would know] Satan does not promise them except lies.
Indeed, My [believing] slaves you will not have authority over them. And every affair suffices about your Lord as a Disposer of affairs."
Your Lord is the one who steers the ship for you [O men] in the sea that you may seek of His bounty. Indeed, He is ever with you, Merciful.
And whenever touches you the harm in the sea of digressed [steering], whom you do invoke except Him alone? So when He delivers you to the land, you turn away [from Him]. And ever is man ungrateful.
Then do you feel secure that He will slide a side of the land down with you or send against you a storm of stones [filling the lowland]? Then you will not find for yourselves a protector.
Or do you feel secure that He will return you in it [Qur'an 17:67] another time, so as to route against you a hurricane of wind then drown you about what you denied? Then you would not find for yourselves therein against Us an avenger.
And We have certainly honored the children of Adam and carried them in the land and the sea and provided them of the good things and preferred them over many for whom We have created, a preference.
One Day We will call forth every people with their [religious] leaders. Then whoever is given his record in his right hand - those will read their records [with pleasure], and they will not be wronged [even] as much as a thread [inside the date seed].
And whoever was blind in this [life] will be blind in the Hereafter and more astray in way.
And indeed, they were about to tempt you away from that which We revealed to you [O Muhammad] in order to [make] you invent against Us something opposite; and then they would have taken you as a friend [Qur'an 10:37].
And if We had not strengthened you, you would have almost inclined to them a little bit.
Then [if you had], We would have made you taste double [punishment in] life and double [after] death. Then you would not find for yourself against Us a helper [Qur'an 10:37].
And indeed, they were indeed threatening you from the land to exit you thereof while when [you exited for heaven- Qur'an 17:1]; not they disunion you [from the land], except a little while.
A [leadership] method on whoever We already sent from Our messengers before you [in al-Masjid al- Aqsa, Qur'an 17:1]; and you will not find to Our method, a change.
Establish the prayers at the decline of the sun until the darkness of the night and [reading] the Qur'an at the dawn. Indeed, [the reading of] the Qur'an at dawn is ever witnessed.
And from the night, so pray [Tahajud] with it as additional [worship] for you [O Muhammad]; perhaps your Lord will elevate you to a praiseworthy station.
And say, "My Lord, cause me to enter [the land -Qur'an 17:76] a true entrance and to exit [the land, Qur'an 17:76] a true exit and grant me from Your hosting a supporting authority."
And say, "Truth has come, and falsehood has departed. Indeed is falsehood, [by nature], ever bound to depart."
And We reveal from the Qur'an [in science, history, theology, psychology, consciousness, beyond consciousness] whatsoever, it is a healing and mercy for the believers but it will not increase the oppressors except in loss.
And when We bestow favor upon the human, he turns away and becomes remote by his side; and when the evil touches him, he is ever despairing.
Say [O Muhammad], "Each works upon his own disposition, but your Lord is most knowing about who it is, in the best guided way."
And they ask you, [O Muhammad], about the spirit. Say, "The spirit is of a command of my Lord. And Mankind have not been given of the knowledge except a little [in different context, connotations, etc]."
And if We willed, We could most certainly take back in that [i.e., Qur'an, Qur'an 17:82], which We revealed to you [O Muhammad]. Then you would not find for yourself about that withdrawal an advocate against Us.
[But that We] except as an exceptional mercy from your Lord. Indeed, His favor upon you has ever been great.
Say, "If the mankind and the jinn gathered upon to bring the like of this Qur'an, they could not bring the like of it, even if some of them were to assist others as assistants."
And certainly We already resolved for the mankind in this the Qur'an from every example [of this challenge, Qur'an 17:88], but most of the mankind refused except disbelief.
And they say, "We will not believe for you until you gush forth for us from the earth a spring.
Or there be for you a paradise of palm tress and grapes then cause the rivers to gush forth luxuriantly through them
Or you cause the heaven to fall upon us in pieces as you have claimed or you bring Allah and the angels before [us]
Or you have a house of gold or you ascend in the heaven. And we will not believe at your ascension until you bring down upon us a book we may read." Say, "Exalted is my Lord! What am I except a human messenger?"
And what prevented the people that they should believe when guidance came to them except that they said, "Has Allah sent a human messenger?"
Say [O Muhammad], "If there were upon the earth angel walking securely, We would have sent down upon them from the heaven an angel messenger."
Say, "A witness by Allah [Qur'an 17:14] is ever enough between me [my sensors and senses] and between you [your sensors and senses Qur'an 17:36]. Indeed He is ever about His slaves, All-Aware, Seer."
And whoever Allah guides - he is the guided one; and whoever He sends astray - you will not find for them guardians other than Him, and We will gather them on the Day of Resurrection [fallen] upon their faces - blind, dumb and deaf. Their adobe will be Hell; whenever it abates We will increase for them blazing fire.
That is their reward because they disbelieved in Our verses and said, "When we are bones and broken particles, will we surely be resurrected as a new creation?"
Have they not considered that Allah, the one who created the heavens and earth, is Able to create the like of them? And He has made for them a term, about which there is no doubt. But the oppressors refused except disbelief.
Say [to them], "If you possessed the treasuries of my Lord's mercy, then you would ever withhold in dread of spending." And the human has always been stingy.
And We had certainly given Moses nine obvious signs for asking the Children of Israel [from Pharaoh] when he came to them and Pharaoh said to him, "Indeed I think, O Moses, that you are bewitched."
[Moses] said, "Surely you should have known, what these [evidences] could reveal except an evidence of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and indeed I indeed think, O Pharaoh, that you are of perished insight."
So he intended to threaten them of the land, but We drowned him and those with him all together.
And We said after him [Pharaoh] to the Children of Israel, "Reside in the land, so when the Hereafter promise comes [Qur'an 21:97], We will bring your all tribes as a mixed crowd."
And in the truth We have sent it [the Qur'an] down, and in the truth it has descended. And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner.
And [it is] a Qur'an, We have divided it [by parts] that you might recite it upon the people on intervals. And We have sent it down stage wise.
Say [to mankind], "Believe in it or do not believe. Indeed, those who were given knowledge before it - when it is recited to them, they fall upon their faces in prostration,
And they say, "Exalted is our Lord! Indeed, the promise of our Lord was indeed fulfilled [Qur'an 26:192- Qur'an 26:196]."
And they fall upon their faces weeping, and it [the Qur'an] increases them in humbling.
Say, "Call Allah or call Ar-Rahman. Whichever [name] you call - to Him belong the best names." And do not be loud in your prayer or silent therein but seek between that a way.
And say, "Praise be to Allah, who never take a son nor for Him was ever a partner in the Sovereignty, nor for Him was ever an ally out of humbleness; and glorify Him with [mighty] glorification."
