Say: I seek refuge (i.e., protection) in the Lord of the dawn (i.e., daybreak)
from the evil (i.e., evil-effect of mischief caused by the creation) of what He ˹Allâh˺ has created
and from the evil of darkness when it (i.e., darkness) spreads
and from the evil of the blowers (i.e., black magic performers blow) in the knots (i.e., of their black magic practices)
and from the evil of an envier (i.e., one who is jealous) when he envies (i.e., when jealous)
